Upgrades to ScanControl are available via download or on CD as updated versions are released. Three upgrade policies (described below) are in place. June 15, 2008 - ScanControl Version 6.2.x Release: Existing 6.x.x users will receive an email with a link to a no charge upgrade to Version 6.2.x. If you are a ScanControl user of Version 6.x.x and do not receive an upgrade email by 07/01/08 then send us an email at upgrades@scannersoft.com requesting an upgrade. Users of ScanControl versions prior to 6.x.x are subject to Upgrade Policy #2 below and will need to order an upgrade.1. Revision, or Point Upgrades are Included in Your Original Purchase Price:Revision or point upgrades, e.g. Version 6.0.0 to 6.2.x, are included with the purchase of the Full, Racing and Lite edition releases. Send Proof of Original Purchase (copy of <drive>:\<install directory path>\scanctrl.lic file) via e-mail to upgrades@scannersoft.com . Via return e-mail we will provide a link back to the user to the no charge upgrade download page. There is a $5.00 Shipping & Handling fee for no charge upgrades requested on CD.
2. Version Upgrades May Require an Upgrade Order:New version upgrades, e.g. Version 5.2.x to 6.2.x, will contain significant new functionality and therefore are subject to an upgrade fee of $9.95 for download, $14.95 on CD (Incl. $5.00 Shipping & Handling). Click over to our On-Line Store and select Software Upgrades, ScanControl Full Edition Upgrade or ScanControl Lite Edition Upgrade. After your order is placed you may receive an e-mail requesting Proof of Original Purchase. Send Proof of Original Purchase (copy of <drive>:\<install directory path>\scanctrl.lic file) via e-mail to upgrades@scannersoft.com. Via return e-mail we will provide download instructions or CD shipment information for your upgrade. Upgrade Protection: 3D Technologies employs a 60 day "Grandfather" period for users who purchase ScanControl within 60 days of a new major update release. If your original purchase of the previous version falls within 60 days of the release of a new major update you are entitled to the upgrade at no charge. Send us an e-mail at upgrades@scannersoft.com with Proof of Original Purchase (copy of <drive>:\<install directory path>\scanctrl.lic file) attached to request your no charge upgrade.
3. Functionality Upgrades Require an Upgrade Order:Upgrades from ScanControl Lite to the Full edition are available for $12.95 for download, $17.95 on CD ( Incl. $5.00 Shipping & Handling).
